It can provide a scientific basis for the best balance between the safe use and economic benefits of vehicles through the technical research on the performance change technology of vehicles and its parts in the whole life cycle for high-speed EMUs that are going to the advanced maintenance, and the life-cycle research on their key components. For example, in the process of system life extension and repair, it is necessary to evaluate the remaining life of system components accurately and reasonably, and then make the decision of continuous use, partial maintenance or withdrawal from active service.
